Vajira's Arena
I will try to post only the fights that I have found most interesting here. However I take s/s's of all of them. I am trying to get imageshack to work on my computer, but it is still a work in progress. Therefore, I will post the names and mention the winner. I will add a battle report to the matches that i remember in a close enough detail. I am in red for all these matches.
Vajira vs. Alphad (961) In this match, we both used turtle set-ups. While attacking the crux of his defense, he tried to distract me by going after my cleric. I retaliated by finishing his own cleric and then paralyzing his scout with my enchantress. In turn, he brought one of his knights away from the brawl. I quickly killed his bw , knight, and last pyromancer. Then it was basically a game of mouse, cat, and dog. He chased my cleric around my lw with his knights and scout before I pinned him against the South-East corner. The cat was caught because the mouse ran between the dogs legs. With low HP on the knight, he surrendered. Vajira vs. Dark Cleric (1336) Unfortunately for my opponent, who fought a brilliant match, I was near 750 when I fought him. He must have thought I had jumped him, but I simply clicked on the first grey that showed up. He started with a good attack on the Southern corner and I was forced to destroy his muddy and damage the scout before he retreated. I am not certain, but I think he lost a knight in that scramble. He then used the Furgon Special and bought more time. His furgon was low on health while trying to maintain its bushy barrier between his band and my soldiers. I quickly caused problems for his frosties before he finally gave up and surrendered. This was an excellent match and he deserves props for how he fought. I learned a lot from this match, especially how to use a Pyro effectively to break apart the bushes. Vajira vs. demon god warrior (958) This was our second fight. He stated that he was testing out a set with 3 clerics. I don’t remember all of the fight, but I know that I was close to going on my main assault when he took too long and surrendered. I think it would have played out well, but we will never know now. Either way, this a good second match. I’m glad to have earned the first victory, but I’d like to redo this last one. I just didn’t feel that I earned it all the way. Vajira vs. dzivota (1039) We both were using defensive sets from the same side. H ended up focusing too much on my ward and lost his advantage. I ended up dealing major damage to all his units and scaring his cleric. I guess he was a little worried about he was completely flanked, because he surrendered. I don’t remember what unit I killed, but I remember it took a while to get through his forces. We didn’t defend with anything that could block, so I cannot blame any of my mistakes on that. I enjoyed this fight. The double frosts were a problem until I was about to kill his frost, cleric, and witch. One thing to say, “gg.” Vajira vs. miledy (1157) This match ended in a draw. I don’t remember all of it, except that he poorly arranged his scout in the end. I ended up being able to freeze it and get him to come in close for another freeze. I had no reason to unfreeze, and he couldn’t touch me. However, he took too long to agree to the draw game. He continued to chase my cleric and attack my ward. I used this chance to get his knight close enough to end all of the foolishness. He skipped a crucial turn and was going to lose his ward because of it. He just kept playing around with the cleric and the ward. So when it finally reached this point, I froze his knight after his cleric moved and we tied. I wanted it to end 10 minutes sooner, but I guess he was hoping I would get d/ced. Being about 160 points lower than him, a tie was fine with me. However, it took too long to get there. Vajira vs. SAAZ (989? Uncertain of exact final number) I had been trying for this fight for 3 days. I finally got it on Friday. We were battling hard and then he didn’t seem to realize that his enchantress and bw were beyond saving. He was packed into a corner. I have the feeling he was multi-screening, because his mind was elsewhere. He had a few problems with the /c, so I think that was distracting him. He was simply distracted, how else can I say it? Many of us multi-task, but perhaps SAAZ shouldn’t when we fight. I am looking for a good fight with you SAAZ. I’m certain you can give a newbie like me a run for my money. Next time though, it may be for stats. Vajira vs. ]-[awaiianeye (1242 after the match) This was my very first fight on TAO. I was a bit scared when I realized how good my opponent was. ]-[awaiianeye was a fierce opponent. He kept me on my toes the whole time. IT took my best work to keep from defeat in here. We both made no mistakes. However, in the end, he chased my full HP knight with a single-hit-to-kill knight. He was forced into this after I took out his cleric. Being a 750 at the time, tying against me was not an option for him. His knight was about +45 and was coming at me head-on. I retreated so as to take his +45 down a few notches. I ended up staying just outside of range the whole time. Then we clashed and I finally brought him down y getting behind him. Took a long time, but this fight is what made me decide to stay with TAO. You get major props from me ]-[awaiianeye.

As I stated, I have the s/s's but imageshack doesn't work with computer's settings. I'll be sending them to a friend soon enough to see if he can help me out here. Yes, i know that to some of you guys, these are considered to be nub fights, but I haven't even been playing for a week yet, so a couple of these were difficult for me. i'm certain that the rest of you would have no trouble as you have months, if not years of experience. Supreme, if you would like the s/s's sooner, I can send them to you in a private message. They are quite large images, so they rest of you may want to wait for the imageshack links.
