And so it came to pass that Netjak found itself in its first war. Of those many people who have called themselves the Arcadians, there is a faction that has named themselves Legends, out of the Great Lakes under the rule of Netjak. For months, two of their number---Baxvarlet and an odd creature taking the visage of an amalgamation of man and mammory glands---harassed the borders of the Land of Netjak. It came to pass that I finally had enough of their dishonorable movements into our borders; for their actions were not done on the field of battle but merely composed of words.
I felt that it was time to call on the Netjak 12. Once summoned, the Netjak 12 will always be ready for battle; that is the reason I created them. Yet no clan has ever stood up to even our potential threat. Enemy leaders have tried to put cowardly rules of battle into place. Whole clans have died in fright. Other clans have shut their mouths after we threatened them. Such was the case with these supposedly Legendary Arcadians, yet for some reason, they felt the courage to speak once again. To arms! I cried to the NJ12, and all were ready and willing for battle... However, up and above the clouds, the rulers of fate had their own plans. These rulers are above even the TAO gods, of which our own Big Zeus is a part. One of these rulers is a woman named Lady Luck. A divine whore, she is faithful to no man. Once a warrior believes she is on his side, and once she has his heart, she will abandon him and move to another. She said to the other rulers, "I believe I shall play a game with the mightiest clan and nation of all, Netjak. I shall humiliate their highest and give them great pains, so that they will know and recognize that I excel even above their greatest skill. I have been forgotten and it suits me not." And so it was, when the NJ12 met the enemy lines in first contact, a whole two thirds of their number fell in one swoop. Even I seemed to be helpless in combat, yet I was not angry. I was not angry because I had already seen the Lady decimate our numbers. There are many people who do not believe in Lady Luck but I am not one of them, I had already seen so many of our people fall to chance. I faced my opponent with a resigned attitude to her will, because it was clear that the divine Wench wanted to make herself known again. And what better way to make herself known then to interfere in the greatest conflict TAO has ever known? All of Netjak knew that nothing could be done if the Wench stayed upon our enemies. We looked upon our fates with foreboding... Until the first member of what I now called the Fantastique Four defied her. Bullcat0 often fights in the form of a might feline, ripling with muscles and with a rams horns. (He's been known to appear in the form of "Bullkitty", a much smaller feline with small nobular protrusions instead of horns, but this is only hearsay) A warrior of few words, when he does speak it tends to be direct and blunt. And so Lady Luck, that divine whore, could not work against the Bull. Before she could act, he had already trampled and gored his foe. I recall being surprised by this win, not because I did not believe Bullcat0 could win, but because I didn't think that Lady Luck could lose. His win snapped our losing fate and sent a mighty ripple of encouragement through our ranks, and he roared encouragement. |Airforce1|, warrior of a variety of offenses, capable of pinpointing exact weaknesses with his advanced weaponry, slaughtered his foe. It was clear that the Wench could not be everywhere at once, or perhaps she was tired after exerting so much energy into the first clash. So Lady Luck decided to focus her charms and powers on a very willing opponent, who had the appearance of a large woman on fire. She was a horror to behold, and knew it. With her flaming appearance, she would even gloat and brag about her wins over Netjakkers while the war was taking place, IN our own camps. Lady Luck chose this woman as her tool of vengeance... The mighty Bullcat showed no fear when he saw the large woman aflame before him. He charged into battle--- ---the details of their conflict were shrouded in dust and fire. But the woman limped away, wounded. The cat lay on the ground. From all accounts, it seemed that the Bull defied the Wench yet again, but still the flames were choking. And then, the Flaming Woman all recovered assaulted Airforce. As is typical, Airforce brought offense upon the flaming one from all sides in an unbelievable fashion. The flaming woman was pinned, her fire having no effect against Airforce's advanced armor. But then, in a way that was almost unbelievable, Lady Luck gave the Flaming One shield and protection from everything, leaving AF1 stunned and in disbelief. Only something divine can block like that! The woman afire took that chance and won. Meanwhile, the Netjakker who has become known as the "Arcadian Bane" was living up to that name. Bottle, who once destroyed twenty-one Arcadians out of pure anger, was doing the same this time around. When before he had done it through freestyle, now he was killing through the grey arts. There was nobody who came close to bringing him low. And then, the Most Valuable Player of all the TAO universe, Allstar was in full glory. He himself wiped out both Baxvarlet and the amalgamation-of-man-and-mammary-glands, the two who instigated Twelve's wrath. These two wins alone were significant enough and helped to strike major blows in the enemy morale. After all, how much can an enemy be if their Head and Mouth are taken away? Yet these matches were not as significant as his final... It came to pass that all warriors were wiped from the field except the M.V.P., the Arcadian Bane, and the Flaming Large Woman blessed by Lady Luck's favor. Up to this point, the Flaming One had been rather vocal in calling out Netjakkers and reporting her well-known victories over us. But when faced with the choice of having to face two Netjakkers who seemed unbeatable... ...and then, like the whore she is, Lady Luck up and left towards the heavens, laughing and happy of the havoc she wrought, pleased that her name was being mentioned profusely again. This left the Flaming Large Woman all alone by herself. Bottle, at first in the hunt, got caught up with other affairs and trusted the matter to Allstar. Allstar went on the hunt, actually calling the Fire out to meet him... They say that the M.V.P. was a sillouhette walking through grounded flames, hand raised in victory and the name of Netjak on his tongue. And so it ended. The whole nation of Netjak will be forever grateful to those who will be known as the Fantastique Four: Bullcat0, |Airforceone|, Bottle and Allstar. As long as this reality called TAO exists, this story will never be forgotten. They, along with the rest of the Netjak 12, did their duty to protect all that it is that Netjak stands for.
