Welcome to the Knight Fight Tournament. This tournament will test your close range combat skills. No particular rush or turtle style. Just one small set for you to use and show how good you can handle your knights. Below is what each player will use for this tournament:






Here are the rules for the tourney:

-Object of the match: Eliminate the opponent's knights first, then attack his cleric.
Do NOT attack the opponent's cleric until his/her knights are destroyed. If the cleric is attacked before the knights are killed off, it is an automatic loss. Prove that this happened by taking an s/s while your mouse pointer is over your cleric showing he was damaged. I suggest to all players not to be near either cleric on the field.

I don't like cheaters either. If you saw your opponent attack his/her own cleric, s/s 2 images of the following:

1. Use the mouse pointer over the knight he/she used to attack their own cleric. Make sure it shows that knight with "1 turn" wait and you have none of your knights near his/her cleric.

2. Use the mouse pointer over his/her cleric showing it was damaged. Make sure none of your knights are near his/her cleric.


-Players: 16. It will be in what I call a "Free Bracket" form. It means I don't set a certain match in each bracket. You play any one of the players in this tournament. If you win, I then mark it in the bracket and you advance in the second round and wait for the other matches to finish. The loser of the match is eliminated.


-Show Or Provide Proof: Show a s/s of your victory. I won't accept a post saying that you won without a snap shot. If an s/s isn't taken, both players must confirm.


-Round Time: 1 week. Each round in the brackets will last a week. This will give enough time to have matches. I would suggest there be active users. If you are inactive or do not get a match within the week, you will be eliminated and it could set up for a bye round for a player. Life isn't always going to be fair. But you should have known this joining this tourney. If it helps any for starting out, the early bird always gets the worm.


-Disconnections: It happens. If disconnected, the other opponent will take an s/s only if he/she had a good advantage in the match. Example: You had 3 knights/1 cleric. He/she had 1 knight/1 cleric. If proven you had the advantage, the match is yours. Again, life isn't always going to be fair for the one that was disconnected. If no proof of an advantage is shown, there will be a rematch.


-Sign Ups: To take part of this tourney, just post that you would like to join and post the name of your TAO account you will be using. Again, I say it's good to be active.


That sums it up. When we get 16 players, the tourney will begin.

-Interview with the champion that will be added to the "Life In TAO" extras section.

-Additional prize: Simon Underwood has been generous enough to offer a single upgrade prize to the winner. The winner of the tournament will discuss that situation with him.

Yes i suppose luck probably have a good deal with who wins these games but I still think that a little skill will be nessasary.

"A little" is right. So long as you know enough about TAO to keep your knights together, spread damage on your knights around, and focus on one enemy knight at a time, then you'll play the best it is possible to. And then it comes down to who gets the most side hits at the best time.
