My next Tourny. Please vote on this, it's important.

Guys, i've been having trouble getting the people in my tourny to finish their games and as a result i've had to make a lot of DQs. Do you guys think it's unreasonable to give 1 week? Do you think I should make it two for my next Tourny?

it's not unreasonable at all. Give it a shot, it'll show them they have to think things through and actually try.

I think it should be one week, but alot can happen in a week that can screw things up for people that may not get a chance to play for that week. I would only say 1 week if players agree to be active, but that would be hard to do.

So 2 weeks is alot better for people that arent as highly active as some others.

I would agree with this really, 1 week is a pretty long time. This may seem harsh, but if you're not active enough then too bad. Otherwise my tournies will take forever, concidering i might have 32 players in my next one!

What about doing preliminaries? Try getting more than 32 participants, schedule their matches and depending on who is more active they move on to the the "real" tournament.

Where's the "it depends" option?

If you feel the games would be played within 1 week, make it 1 week. If you think 2 will be needed, make it 2. If you think games won't be completed even if they had the next 5 years, then just disqualify them.

Yeah i guess that's an idea. I was going to put that option in, but then i thought everyone would vote that, and i wouldn't get many yes or no.

I feel that the reason why you had so many DQs was that round ended on saturday and new one came in sunday, so players couldn't really arrange a game on weekends.

And whatever format you choose, there will always be those who go inactive
