Alright guys, I have the 32 players I need to sign up for this, so we'll get this under way. This is great because it's Friday, so we should be able to see some games done in the weekend.

Please note the following:

You will need to send a PM to your opponent to schedule a playing time. This is for use in instances when games are not completed by the end of the round. You will have to state at least 2 times they are available before I will green your name on this list. Players that do not send in a good PM are viable to be disqualified at the end of the round.

If you miss a scheduled game, you will be the one to be disqualified at the end of the round.

I'm not going to be leniant here. Get your games in or get disqualified. I have no qualms giving out double disqualifications either.

The deadline for this round is one week from today, Friday January 25, 2008 at 12:00 PM (noon) EST

My timetable is this: I have an exam on Thursday afternoon. Other than that (and revising for it) I am free every day until next Sunday (27th). My time zone, as you know, is GMT and I can generally be online any time between 11am and 1am (although obviously not that whole time). Let me know when is best for you and we can arrange a suitable time."

Does the 10th unit need to be different to the other 9, or can we use, for example, a second knight?

yes, the unit you use besides the random 9 can be whatever you want it to be.
