Last Drop Thread: Rules and advice. READ BEFORE POSTING IN DROP THREAD OR ELSE.

As pretty much the only moderator to bother with the last drop thread, I'm going to lay out the ground rules for it right now and clearly so nobody can say they didn't know. Everyone should be able to read this thread before posting in the drop thread, as the usual way to access the drop thread is via the training room forum.

Here are some HARD AND FAST RULES about the drop thread.

• Do not post anything, and I mean anything, except a drop. Don't comment on drops. Don't moan about how you already have 27 pyros.
  
• Simply post "pyro" or "pyromancer" if a pyro drop comes. Don't post "pyro, stupid damn thing, what use is a pyro lol" because NOBODY CARES WHAT YOU THINK.
  
• There is no need to post times of drops unless it was say the drop happened an hour before your post. People can look at your post time as they invariably have a different time zone to you.
  
• Do not post replies to someone who doesn't follow one of the rules. Posting "OMFGZ u spamer!!!!111" makes you no better than the person who spammed first.
  
• Anyone in breach of these rules will receive infraction points, or final warnings for repeat offences. After being given your final warning any future offences will lead to a ban.

There are also several guidelines to follow. Please do try to observe them.

• Do not report spam posts in the drop thread (using the report post feature). I check the thread daily and all spam will be cleaned out when I do. This rule does not apply when, and ONLY when, you know I will not be online for several days, and I will let everyone know in advance.
  
• Waiting for a couple of minutes before posting a drop is strongly advised, especially during the peak play times, as the chances of accidentally double posting the drop is drastically reduced if you do so.
  
• Due to people still failing to read this thread before posting, resulting in double posting drops instead of waiting 2 minutes, the thread will be closed at the mod team's discretion to teach those who do not read it a lesson. If this happens 5 more times the thread will be closed permanently.
  
• No infraction points will be given if these guidelines are not followed except for persistent offences after being warned.

I reserve the right to edit your post to send any messages that need to be sent in the thread, to prevent me from having to post a non-drop post in the thread. Such edits will always be in red writing. Obviously, I will also edit or delete any posts not following the above rules.

You now have ZERO excuse to have 2 or more posts for each drop. If you refreshed after 2 minutes, you see no posts and you decide to post, but someone still posts before you, you are now able to delete your post. If you do not do so, you will be infractioned.

Do NOT post a drop even if there is already a post recording the drop! If they don't wait 2 minutes, they will receive infractions, by posting the drop AGAIN saying "2 Minutes Ago" only gives us MORE work.

The 2 minute rule is not designed just to be pedantic. It's designed to prevent 5 people from posting the drop within 10 seconds of it happening. The MOST IMPORTANT thing is that you DO NOT POST THE DROP IF SOMEONE ELSE HAS ALREADY DONE SO. Even if they posted it in less than 2 minutes.

A lot of people are currently using the last drop thread as some sort of advertisement thread for their clan; adding clan banners to their drops, posting the drop in small letters and "OUR CLAN ROCKS!" in large ones, etc.

DO NOT DO IT.

If you want to advertise your clan go to the clan discussion section. The last drop thread is for drops. All that will ever be accepted in the thread will be the drop itself and, if necessary, a time indication of how long ago it occured, along with any additional comments by a moderator if required (coloured text). Any other content in the last drop thread will be deleted by a moderator and the poster will receive an 8-point spam infraction.
