Finding a Balanced Form
Off of mantis thread, a better form or strategy can no doubt be developed. The most dominant forms right now are side rushes, some with a single dsm, and a few turtlers, and a few center rushes, and I see the least amount of anti-rushes, with some bombs here and there but mostly newer players.
The purpose of this thread is to develop a new form based on the current meta of play, and test until perfected. For everyone who contributes in testing forms and posting new results ill shoot some rep now and then to say thanks. ^^ If your wondering well this thread has been done before there are old ones, well my answer is, forms have changes as well as the meta since then. Being different from the other threads im going to update this first page with links and images to the current possibilities of the best balanced form, and then edit and revise them as the forms developed, so when everyone views the page they can easily see whats being worked with currently. Here are some links to previous threads, in-case you want some ideas. The Perfect Form The perfect setting So post some s/s work on some ideas and well see if we can work out something new thats great! ![]() |

I was thinking that the formation would have to be centered(to remove opposite/same sided disadvantages). Also, to prevent bomb damage, the formation would not be in a straight line on the front row, but still be up enough to prevent DSM strikes to your cleric. As a second insurance policy, a stone is a good idea to make your units last, as well as helping against turtlers. So far this is what I have. Any comments?

Switch dragon with the knight on the scout side so it posses more of a defence on that side and kinda balances out the dragon movement on either sides of the field.

The problem with that is it seems like it would be fairly easy to hit the stone while being able to put your range at minimal risk.

I don't think the most Balanced Form will include a Stone Golem, No matter where you put it it's just too easy to destone in many situations. Sure a Centred Stone isn't very close to a NJ Rush's range and indeed it's a pretty safe bet that's what you'll coe up against in most games but any Centre Rush will have no problem with it and a Balanced form needs to be able to dealwith a Centre Rush, Turt, Bomb or Anti as well as Cornered ones.

A cornered Power turtle can be overcome by taking advantage of it's lack of Range. A Cornered power turtle is likely to have only a Scout and Mud as their range with dagon giving the range a bit of a kick.
