Maybe we arent all made to play this game?

Only reason why i'm making this thread is becuase maybe i'm not meant to play this game. I've been playing this game since Oct 2003 and I usally play every day atleast 3-4 hours. Now i've tryed my hardest to understand the game and do things on my own and that never worked! So then I thought maybe I should get a trainer or two. Well I got a trainer(Draquist,Lord White) I trained with draquist for awile and lw for atleast 2 days in a row! And no matter how much I tryed my skills didn't even change, you can ask anyone. So I ask you is there just somthing wrong with me? A person who wants to be good at this game and keeps trying and trying but never gets it?
Now i'm good at turtle but hell I play on army no one ever turtles(not enough to matter anyways). I really dont understand it becuase i'm a offensive turtler, just like a rusher would be offensive.

Edit: Now adays I usally take my whole turn and try to figure things out but no matter how much I try to think ahead the end result seems to always be the same. It's like I know what I want to do and what I would like to become but I cant put it into order. Also i've study all guides on this website and even as far to watch youtube(punis matchs) Over and over again on a daily basics to see what i'm doing wrong compared to him. Now dont get me wrong I see what he's doing compared to me but when I go to do the same type of things it never works for me.
Well anways thanks for reading, if anyone has any helpful tips then please be my guess.

Im just like you bro but keep practicing you got to try out new forms and practice with them.

Well don't give up just yet

If you're not very good then I dont think training with Draquist and Lord White will help you because they're far too advanced for you you should try learning from people who are quite good but not very and then when you learn some stuff from that try playing with Lord White and Draquist again.

Put it this way if you wanna learn to swim you dont try high diving straight into the deep end with the wave machine set on raging torrent.

I'd be happy to play with you?

Id rather not be a guess...can i be a statement? I never get to be a statement...

But yeah, as far as tips go, I dont know. No set of tips ever helped me, simply experience did the trick. And dont hop between the FPS servers and here...pick either one and stick to it. The tactics on both servers differ too much to be jumping around.

Id be happy to play with you too Xiahou...:P

Just kidding. I wouldnt be happy. At all.

I know how you feel. I am a pretty good turtler, but bad at rushing. I can beat most good players, but can't seem to be consistent. Not everyone can be good at this game, but the main objective is to have fun.

I thought that too. If you are trying to learn to rush and just aren't getting it, move to turt. If you are good at turt, why change? There doesnt seem to be a point now does there?

I've never been really good at this game either, I haven't played in a long time, but when I do occasionally play I use a no drop grey form because I enjoy playing with them. I suggest you play what you enjoy playing in the game. Make fun setups and experiment. Enjoy the game any way you can.

Yeah those are some good matches. It really is a shame he is the only person to put vids out there for the public enjoyment. If you haven't yet, I suggest taking a look at his "For My eyes" video. It isn't tagged but you can open his account and it's listed under his videos.

As for your stagnation in this game, here are some options.... take time off, try different forms, play noobs to increase your self esteem, or just learn to be okay with mediocrity.

No, this game isn't for everyone. It's not for people who can't understand how to use the units.

It sounds like you are at one of those points where you just lost a game, or maybe a string of games in a row, and feel all sorry for yourself. IROK had a similar thread a week or two ago.

Well, the fact of the matter is, you're not the best. It doesn't mean you're not meant for the game. It means you're not the best. Live with it, cuz that's life. You need to learn to be satisfied with yourself and your own abilities, and not get so down because someone happens to be better. It doesn't mean you suck just because you get beaten by the top players.

If there was a breaking point which determined whether you were meant for this game or not, you would have hit it years ago. So yes, you're meant for this game, you just need to accept where you stand within it.
