Why do golds rush so much?

well, the title gives it all away...

I've been playing this game for a longggg time, i consider myself a VERY good grey, i went in the top 1400 with a grey account, dropless. I've upgraded to gold maybe a year ago and right now, i just hate all rushers:P. Like, its understandable to rush, everyone has their way of playing...but why do 90% of golds rush 0_0?!?!...i dont see the strategy in here:S...especially playing against other rushes, its mostly luck...or maybe im tottaly not right...im a turtler, i love strategic play...but, theirs no fun challenging other golds when allllll of them are rushing:S...like, why do ALL gold (almost) rush:S...speaking for myself, i think it makes the game lame when someone jumps you and u figure they are rushing, like the player b4, and b4, and b4, and b4...i honestly love to play experienced grey or on my grey account so lame being a gold gets:S...Yeah, sure, you can ask in the lobby for a turtle match, but not alot of players are willing to turtle...

am i the only one thinking like this?:S...

It's the general metagame form, simply. Effective vs. anything that's not designed to stop it, and generally you can still get a decent match vs. Rush antis.

Its how they want to play...why do golds turt? Hea, same question basically. If they want to play turt...then turt. If they want to play rush...rush.

It's a way of life. You rarely see a "Good" turtler these days, therefore people rush. I don't rush, i anti.

Yeah its the most effective way of playing. And luck can play a huge part if the players are evenly matched in skill.

It really doesn't matter for me, I can play any style.

They rush because they feel power. It started when the Golem Ambusher came into the picture.

I just personally think turts get more tactics in the game, while rush, its all fast and luck...but its true, we all have our style...

Rushing was there, but it really started to get going when the Mud Golem got the mud quake.

But even back then it was SUPER rare.

It was considered noob.

But here's some reasons why people rush:

Games usually take less time.
If you're rushing... you're more than likely going to be facing another rush. If you were turtling, then you'd be at a disadvantage.
Rushing instills fear in the opponent.
When rushing, if you get the side that you want, the cleric is usually gone fast, so no need to worry about them having a heal.

Oh and for you screaming "rush is luck" here and in game.

It's really not. Those units are placed ahead of time based on what people usually have to give yourself an advantage. No luck is involved with that. Each game has luck, I guarantee you.
