At the end of the day everyone has the right to their own opinion. So I dont think he could get banned for his post, after all I didnt see anything worth banning him for o.O.

I must ask though, In the first post he said something about "wasting time to play tao nad LF etc". i wonder if he realised he wasted time posting on LF about wasting time by posting on LF.

People play TAO to entertain themselves, like many other play different games. Some people play to try and be the best, some play just for fun, and some play out of boredom. Either way, it is a good way to kill time and something to do when you can't do other activities. If a person honestly has trouble trying to juggle playing a game + talking on a forum with their real life, there is a problem. Video Games are actual a good stress reliever (minus get owned and be enraged even farther), and as others have said, can help your development in some cases. Yes, shooting people in the head for three hours isn't going to teach you anything, but Puzzle games (for example), make you think.

It's all about what is fun to that person. If someone wants to spend three hours a day on the forums, than let them. If someone wants to spend countless hours playing the game, than let them. It will only affect them in the end (saying that it would), and they should be smart enough to choose what is important and what isn't.

I play TAO too much.. I only play it to much because I enjoy it.
It's a challenge. If I go out and play football with my friends it's not a challenge. I'm too good for them.

But I must admit, I do play too much TAO. I hardly go out now.. I make sure I go out on firdays though..

tao/forums is part of enjoyment, and filling up time you aren't using for anything else. You take a break from the forums when you have hw (even though you still go on the forums to do something enjoyable instead of hw), but its forums or something else. If you have something planned with real life friends, then you do something with them, if not you have forum buds and game buds.

Well then the only thing with a point for progressing in life is easting, drinking, excrementing, sleeping, working and reproducing. But hey, most humans like to do a little thing called have fun.

I've never lost a relationship/friendship due to videogames, I've made sure of that. All things in moderation I say. Now you may be thinking, "but Gypsy, you have over 18,000 posts, how could you make such a statement?". Listen, I've been here since week one and I've maintained a sane ppd, around 24-ish. Some days I have around that much, sometimes less and some days when I want to post I break the hundreds, but then there are extended periods where I don't come on here which balance that out. I seem to have found a good balance in my life right now. Which is part of why I was gone for those six days last week. Trust me aggro, anyone can live without this forum or this game. I don't think there is anyone here who has posted one day of every month. Perhaps myself, I'm not sure, but you get the idea.

If you have work to do that choice is up to you, I always got weekend homework done on Sunday night-Monday morning, didn't get much sleep, but that's just the way I was, and I always got it done. As long as you get your work done don't worry about that. If you have someone you care about, yes, you should spend time with them, but I imagine they could understand you being here for an hour or two. It's just how much time do you want to spend with them. Even if you work 8 hours a day and sleep 8 hours a day that leaves you with 8 free hours there buddy. It's no big deal to spend 1/8th-14th of that online if you want. That gives you quite a bit of time to eat and spend time with other people in real life. And despite being here alot, I still watch a ton of movies, which is my favourite thing to do with friends. Well, cheerio aggro, hope you get a better handle on your life.

Ill responsible. Its your decision to waste your life, or to make something of it. You can learn from this game and the people that play it. Its for fun. All in all the decision is all yours and the only decision to worry about it your own, so just make the smart one. If its between homework and game time, well duh homework, if you choose not to then your ill responsible and you might as well mature or give up.
