How the hell does this make any sense? *kicks forum*

worse yet is I tried to be funny by uploading the picture of the error message to my sig and it gave me the same error message... file type and anything. Originally I got the pic above after being rejected from a sig that was 250x250.

Happens... uploading a picture into signature is useless.

I think there are very small limits as well. I had to compress my "Spurs > Pistons" Paint signature and make it very low-quality, and I finally got it down to exactly 2.4kb. And then, I got the message "Your file of 2.4 KB bytes exceeds the forum's limit of 2.4kb for this filetype."

The avatar's limit is 1kb.

Maybe save it as a different image type and it may work?

Using a different image type can help compress it, depending on which.

PNG has the least compression, so don't use PNG if you're trying to reduce file size.

Some programs also allow you to reduce image quality in exchange for a reduction in file size, like in Paint.NET.

or uploading it.

Copy it into paint. Save it as a jpeg. Problem solved.

No, I've tried, obviously.

Whenever I put a URL in IMG tags it ends up creating a link. The same happened when I put the link in my sig as an image. This site doesnt accept BBCode for sigs anymore?
