IRC Accessibility

I think the legendsforums IRC channel should be more easily accessible to members.

What I'm suggesting are a few methods to make it more accessible.

Suggestion 1: IFRAME

The IRC Java application at www.gamesurge.net/chat would be IFRAMED into a LegendsForums page linked from the "Site Navigation" box on the homepage here.

Suggestion 2: Links

Links to www.gamesurge.net/chat and the IRC thread would be added around the forums.

Locations: Horizontal Centered Navigation Bar, Bottom Right Corner Links, Box on Homepage; 404 Page Not Found Page

Another idea would be to include information about the IRC in the emails users receive when they register, like the activation emails. Maybe, activity or use of the IRC can lead to something on the main forums here.

Do you all have any other ideas for how to make the IRC more easily accessible and more popular?

Why don't you just download it from mirc? I use that and everything seems fine. And why need information about it? Everything is self-explanatory?

As you may have noticed the popularity of the legendsforums IRC channel is low. I suggest adding a few links and more information around the forums to gain more users. Also, adding a form of access to LegendsForums would increase popularity incredibly.
