IM would be good for forums

ok! my suggestion to improve the forums would be to set up an IM system

this way people could talk easier to other people in the forums

Probably the most common suggestion, besides a TAO chat filter.

we did IRC and another corner of the screen chat - it never caught on

I had trillian like, ...4 or 5 years ago. But its obnoxious, cos all the emotes look different.

I have a suggestion that would improve the forum:

STOP MAKING NEW THREADS.

How would the denying the major purpose of a forum make a forum better on it's face? Sure, not making bad threads may help but not making any threads at all sure does seem like throwing the baby out with the bath water.
