When locking threads.

Hey, there is one thing that happens a lot that kind of bugs me. When a Mod or an Admin locks a thread saying, "this has been done before." They don't post a link to the most recent thread of that topic, because I've looked for the thread before and it might not exist. Sometimes a Mod will lock a topic thinking that there has been a recent thread of a similar topic, when the topics aren't really the same at all. So now I want to contribute to a locked thread to which there is supposedly a recent already made thread with the same topic and there isn't, so if I want to continue discussing I'd have to make a new thread, and If I created a thread similar to one that was just locked, then I'd probably be infracted.

Ya, so If a mod say something like, "this has been done before" while locking a thread, could he please post a link to that thread so we can continue discussing the topic.

And sorry if you couldn't follow what I was saying in my paragraph, It's kind of just rambling.

The search feature on LF is the most epic fail ever. It DOES NOT WORK.

You can search for an exact title, and it'll be like the 20th thing found.

I tried looking for the "Presidential Election" thread and got NFL and NBA before that...

And it was on thread titles.. not words or whatever.

I don't like the LF search.

Mostly because you can't search for two or three letter words, when it's needed when you're searching phrases, or titles.

I know, right. I don't like this either.

This is a good idea Sixers. It will be helpful and it's not a waste of time looking for a thread for us.
