Sticky PM.

Well, i just had this idea to have an automatic PM to new members that is like the message RD posts in intro threads so that people don't just put "Welcome, Post smart and Read the stickies" This would mean the New member wouldn't have to wait until a mod posts the message to locate the stickies. And they also wouldn't have to put up with the Generic welcome from members who just look for PC + 1.
Comments on the idea is appreciated. This idea should be implemented *coughProphetcough*.

some people do already

there is no way to stop people from their silly +1 PC ways since no one takes action against them, but then again, it really doesnt matter what someone's post count is

Good point, But this idea isn't really based on the PC+1ers it's based on new members getting stickies before making their intro thread, so they won't get negged for tlkin lyk dis you know what I'm saying?

I am going to laugh so much when we eventually remove the post count for the intro section and certain members have their post count halved overnight.

I'm not agree with you at all Jake because One of the most important points of the Introduce yourself section is to meet some new forumers and to get some posts for the new member while he's talking about itself. (how do you think the newbie is going to get known by some users if he doesn't makes a thread related to him??)

And believe me, not so many people would post in a thread were post count not existed or don't affected it's numbers, which would make the new user leave immediately (if no friendly people why should I stay...) Just like the clubs section... or junk.. and forum chain games. Which is the topic were less people use to post.

Not so many People would post in an introduction thread if there were no post count involved.
Tell me how much people keeps posting in a club? 2 or 3 per day...?? (-_-'') <------- Would you call that a "WARM WELCOME" ???

And no, people won't actually have to think what to say because they are not going to post anything.

People will post an introduction thread no matter what. New members don't care about their post count as much so the so-called veterans do.
