Age Cut-Off For Threads?

Would it be to much to ask for a system that automatically locks threads that haven't been posted in for say a year?

To stop idiotic necroes. Good idea, especially since many ancient threads being bumped by newbies.

There are times when a year+ old thread needs to be bumped. Mods do a fine job of closing necro-ed threads that need to be closed already.

I think that's mainly due to the "Similar Threads" box under each thread.

Some very old threads are there and I don't see why we'd need that area.

I guess it be okay to lock some old useless threads but other then that i think it's going okay.

It's better to continue a discussion than start a new one.

And Bottle what difference does it make, people complain either way.
Post in an ancient thread and you get, "noob, don't necro". Make a new thread and you get, "noob use the search button".
