Introduction threads and Win threads
i realize that these topics have been brought to our attention many times, but i had my own views on them and i wish to share them with you
this thread is different from lost soul's "Win threads and sig threads" thread which can be found here regarding intro threads: down with the generic "welcome, have fun and post smart", "welcome", etc. reply. is there any way to make it so that the creator of the thread gets +1 post count, but the replyers dont get any post count? we want the person introducing themselves to make their intro their first post, so they should get post count, but the rising number of people posting generic welcomes are simply unneeded. regarding win threads: since these threads pretty much get the same amount of generic posts("nice wins") as the intro threads, is there any way to make it so only the creator of the thread gains post count in that thread, or perhaps make it so no one gets post count at all? as for battle reports, they are different altogether. they are fine how they are because no one should be making battle reports all the time, and they are usually created to commemorate a special win what do you all think?

I like the introduction idea. I have no real comments on it.
Battle reports wise, could also limit the thread to a certain amount of s/s's. As an example, each thread can only hold 5 s/s's and thats it. That way, the section can be used only for special wins. Win portfolios I say just keep it the way it is. Maybe limiting only one per member, but I don't see why we should change it.

i only think win threads should be changed because the way people post, no one really cares about them. everyone just says "nice wins" and some of them dont even look

Showing a win against a 1500 or so, is great.....but if we don't even know the player, there is nothing else to really comment on. I guess you could do the same as your introduction idea......but I still don't see why.

This is how I see the welcome/introduction threads: I believe that the original poster should get +1 and I don't really see a problem with everyone that post there getting plus one as well but when the thread has gone on for several days it gets a bit pointless. I see the welcome/introduction thread as a way for the community to show there support to the new members but when the mods let the thread go longer than it should you get people posting in there just for post count.
With the win portfolios there would be so much less spam if the original poster could open and close his own thread to prevent spamming. Only down side is that you don't get any insight what so ever on the wins except through pms. Just my opinions and suggestions on the matter.

I wouldn't think that it is possible for the thread creator to get +1pc while the other members get no +1pc. The only way to stop it would be to junk them like the "special section", lock them, or start handing infractions more often. What good would that do though? People would just find other threads to gain +1pc. I think it's best to leave everything as it is.

I see it as this; It's just a number. You post so your post count goes up 1. No matter how big or small your post is, it goes up 1, except in the certian sections (junk) it should be kept the way it is... It's just a number. >.<
