Spreading less rep.

The title of this thread prettily much describes the suggestion so I don't think I'll have to explain it more than once.

Today I have been repping alot of people to see how much rep you can spread and it seems like you can be repping people all the whole day.. What for?, What's the point? to get our system messed up in a few years? (I'm sure no one in this forums wants our reputation system just like in the FPS forums) If that happens we will need to get rid of reputation points and I don't think some people will be glad about it because, at some point is funny to have it; yes... it's pretty lame to "respect" people because a number but actually having a rep system shows alot more than that of some forumers (like Nick the ninja, he got like 2 red boxes because he used to brag alot, he apologized for nothing and well... everyones knows that history) and to be Honest I think it's way much to can rep a whole lot of people in a day [there's no need for that] (Indeed I think you can rep a few people 2 times in a day, which is not good at all)

So.. the point of my thread is to suggest if we could have a limit of reputation points to spread each day. I'm not sure of How many people you can actually rep in a day but what about if we just could rep like 5 a day or something like that.

Suggestions to improve the idea?
Is it actually a good Idea?
Do you like it and you are agree with it?

Isn't it something like rep 10 per day, but must rep 7 others to rep the same person again?
This causes "spreading rep" because you want to rep someone that deserves it.

that's exactly what it is


to spread, what you can do is to go to the old old posts in off or on topic and spread rep to those who are no longer active. (don't reply to those threads though). That way, the accounts which nobody uses get rep and the extra spread rep doesn't go to people who you don't want to give it to.

you have the limit of 10 people per day and you have to have a gap of 7 before you can rep the same person again.

Ah hate spreading, but the people who make the rep-worthy posts are the same, most of the time..

I think removing promotion groups declined the amount of times people rep per day enough.

I think I given out more than 10 rep cards today AND I CAN STILL SPREAD.

Flash demon: usergroups were a reason to get more rep and I'm totally agree with you, now that there's nothing to "reach" (except by the amount of boxes, which I think it's 11) some people stop repping but that give us another reason to Limit the spread of reputation of each day.

Why would someone like to rep the same person twice? Rep whores...

That's my point right there. Some people stop repping, which means there's less rep going around, meaning less people are repping per day.

Nah, I rep 100 times a day now. Bringing back the fun in these forums will take it down to 5.
