...But we might as well make request section more efficient. We get roughly 5 requests a week in the request section. A fair amount for any forum. Everyone here has banners, or uses them, and we have a decent amount of good quality banner makers.

Given all of these factors I am suggesting the following,
A Graphics team, doesn't have to be officially supported by Prophet, or not, but at least acknowledged by the forum, however I strongly suggest it is official as well.

What does a graphics team do?
- They fulfill requests, and establish request rules. As well as close finished request threads, or ones that do not met basic requirements.

How does this benefit the forums?
- We get a fair amount of requests each month, and almost 1 or so a day. Many of the current banner makers already get pm's on top of thier request threads. By creating a graphics team we can establish request rules, for exp 50 posts + 1 week (w/e requirements are best). Whether the request/graphics team has close thread powers in the request forum, if unofficial made, lad can close requests that do not meet the requirements.

What is the net result?
Rather then getting personal pm's every day or so, the graphics forumers now who wish to make sigs for people are added on the gfx list if accepted. This means that now people request sigs, those who wish to make sigs or request team will get the pm's rather then the people who do not wish to make sigs for people. So people who want sigs will get their sigs quicker.

How much effort would it take to make it official?
Basically,
Appoint a leader for the gfx team to accept requests to join the team. It could be a public joinable group, that requires leader acceptance. For example, something Lad could do easily. Everyone in this usergroup would be given access to close/open threads in the request forum, which helps organizing requests.

I think the benefit to the request section is better then the minimal time spent to organize this graphics request group.

Suggestion.

Several tiers.

Highe medium and Low level Graphics teams.

The lower levels can be the ones who practice by filling in on the nub requests, medium and higher can make siggys for the more estabilished members.

However don't make this completely dominating, people should still feel perfectly at liberty to make a sig for whoever they want on the side.

Official? I say no.

Requests are only closed if a request does not meet requirements. For example, if requirements were established as 10+ posts, and 3 days on lf to make a request. A request by someone with 5 posts would be closed, and then reopened when they got to 10. Also requests threads would be closed after the requester received his sig. As anything after that is mainly +1, and the thread has served its purpose.
And basically, its a team that makes people banners.

Official? I say no.

I like to keep things simple. To clarify a gfx team, if you have ever been apart of other forums with them, they are not the only ones who fufill requests. Anyone at anytime can fulfill a request if they wish. Also when requesting a sig in a thread, you can request from a specific gfx team member. In general gfx team will finish requests before anyone else does. (This is better then getting those random pm's everyday, to every single banner maker, and having new members post a request in every banner shop).

I believe people should be happy that their request gets fulfilled, no matter the level. If established members want a good sig, they can request from one of the better gfx'ers if they like, and if a new member makes a request, an average gfx'er could fulfill it, like Aero for example. As well as any forum member who wishes to fulfill the request.
