Activity Rating

Suggestion!

Implement some sort of way to gauge a member's activity, activity rating?

The main purpose of this would be to prevent tournaments from dying, by allowing the tournament thread creator to easily look at somebody's rating and see if he/she should be allowed to join. Each person would initially start with a 0 rating, and this could be increased or decreased by any LF mod depending on activity in a previous tourny, success in a previous tourny, or even just because somebody shows activity on LF and will be a likely tourny candidate.

I don't know, its just, I hate seeing so many tournys die because tournament directors allow inactive people to join, not knowing that these people will become inactive.

before we had v-buliten, we had this activity tracking option

Sounds like a good idea, shouldn't be to hard to implement either. My guage would definetly be full.

Eh... most tournament organisers already know who's active and who isn't. Otherwise they wouldn't be very good organisers.

But not every oragniser is responsible. We have to take that into consideration.

Why would you want to join the tournament run by a bad organiser anyway?

Yeah, any tournament ran by that Bottle guy is doomed to fail. I've heard bad things about that Bottle character, very shady.

Question: Does vb not track how often you are online? I know the smf kept track of your time logged on.

To bad active forumers aren't always active gamers. So IDK.
Good idea for those who have been in previous tourneys and were active.
