It just really caught my eye only a couple months ago that i realized you can freeze or paralyze a unit that is protected by a barrier ward.

Ive been playing this for a few years now, and i guess i just really never noticed. Well now ive started using chantys more, so i guess thats why it came to my attention.

I know the barrier ward can only be penetrated by focus spells. Which i think is wrong. It should be nothing at all that can penetrate it. What's the point of protecting your unit, if it can just be frozen/paralyzed if you get to close to a chanty or frost. That should be one of reasons you use a barrier ward on a unit and not just for protecting it from a deal of damage.

I got screwed a couple of times before i realized this could be done.

I think this should be changed to where a barrier ward CAN'T be penetrated by anything! Just an Idea. ;)

Good point, But the power "froze or paralyze" is total different to a attack.

The only Function of Barrier ward, is protect to watever unit of attacks Magics and Physical.

Yea, that is true. I think that it should stay the way that it is. But, it would bring the barrier back into the game if it did change, but seriously. When was the last time any update was made on the game.

You might also notice sir that you can barrier one of your opponents units and prevent them from being healed by their cleric.
This may not work with veterans but every now and again you can catch someone off gaurd with this and they heal and get mad becuase they just lost that unit.
I have done this a few times when people move scouts into my area then they heal and have to wait a few more turns before they can heal again which gives me a chance to break focus then attack their unit.

I'm pretty sure that Seed meant to have focus attacks penetrate the barrier. I'm pretty sure Seed has a lot of good reasons for doing so, all of them tactical. =P

Personally I like it. Being able to freeze a barriered enchantress is a good thing.

Like anything it's just something else you have to consider when it is involved in the game. Barrier wards aren't very high on my priority list though.
