Blocking Features
Hey, I was just inspired to make this thread after seeing the thread: "Which unit looks the best blocking".
This is something to mix the game up a bit. Everything seems to get a bit boring once in a while after years of playing. I think something to help change that would be to change some of the blocking features. New players would probably even stay longer to check out the game if they liked how some of units blocked -- some graphics never did any harm. If this thread has already been made, I'm sorry, but I don't want to hear it. Just post on how you like the ideas and ways to improve it. Furgon: the Furgon erects a shrub in front of it, which takes the blow instead. Dragon: the Dragon flys up and dodges it. Knight: the Knight uses its sword to deflect the attack (almost like a slashing motion). Ect... If you have any more ideas, please post them, and I will add the good ones up. Post away.

this is good, and maybe even new attack features, only the graphics can change though. It would be really cool
If some of the units have no blocking, then im sorry, i dont own a gold. Knight: Sidestep, and cuts down the attack with a sword hit. Assasin: Disappears jumping into black mist, and then reappears crouching on the ground Witch: A twister comes out of her cane and swallows the attack. Pyro: His cape turns into fire, and burns the attack up by shootin fire outta his hand. LW: Emits lightning into the attacker (not damaging him bt making him mess up). BW: Makes a barrier on itself that blows up (one turn barrier). Scout: Crouches and shoots down the attack. BR: The beast catches the attack in its mouth, and the spear hits it out of the mouth. Furgy: Raises a shrub wall around the attacker (for that turn), or as abcz1230 said in front of itself. DSM: Shoots a fire dragon out of his cane that swallows the attack. Dragon: Flies up and as he comes down, lands on the attack with a stiff wing. Berserker: Completely decimates the attack with a double claw hit thingy. Hope u like these, thyre complicated to do, but hey, theyre just ideas.

I'd rathe have a new unit or the upgrade system.rankings fully fixed to be honest. if this as a bonus on the side it would be nice, but is obviously not going to take precedence over another feature.

Blocking is pretty cool as it is, although this wouldn't be bad. What I'm more interested in is the audio. Whenever anything is blocked, even when unblockable attacks are stopped by Barriers, the exact same sound is made. There's no difference between any of it. And it doesn't make sense that a barrier blocking a fireball should make the same sound as a Knight's shield blocking two Assassin knives.

TAO in general is pointless. You'll need to give more reasoning behind that.

i think that u shouldnt just change the blocking animation like that. make it so the blocking animation is different for each atk
ex: knight atk scout - scout holds bow up scout atk scout - scout shoots arrow and defelects it assassin atk scout - scout blocks with his vambraces. |
