Password Guessing

I think that if you type in a wrong password 3 times for an account that is incorrect that you shouldn't be able to put in another password for the same account. If that makes any sense. I don't know kinda like the email things.

.... I think 5 times wrong and wait like 1 hour on ANY account so no one trys it on other accounts.

No, i don't think so. I always type my password in wrong because i usually type too fast..

For how many?

And 3, way to short, it is dumb because I just logged in, 1 try I had caps on 2nd I just typer 2 fast and what if I got the third wrong... Not aloud on my account? Harsh.

It really shouldn't take you 4 tries to type in your password... lol
I like the idea, it would help slow down the hacking... it wouldn't prevent it, those people have no lives.

The idea is very common and effective. And I'm quite sure they use this sort of idea in hotmail.com. I say go for it.

I tried to guess someone's pass a year ago and it took quite a bit of tries. Then when I tried to go on my account I faced a 3 hour ban.
