And Kobe is a better defender than LeBron, so that's probably why he got Hedo

As for Tayshaun, if he guarded him, that would mean James would have to come out, Tayshaun > James defensively, but I think they are looking for more offense than defense.

Anyways, the point is, Hedo doesn't play like a big man, so the height difference isn't as significant in that matchup.
I just thought that LeBron James' defense was good enough in this case of such a height difference.

Hedo Turkoglu didn't play in the tune-up game though.

Was Kevin Garnett not considered for Team USA?

Did he even try out for the team?

Garnett was not selected for a tryout becuase he would not agree to a 3 year committment to the team.

ESPN - Who wins, who loses in Williams deal? - NBA

Oklahoma City acquired very underrated Joe Smith and a talented star in Desmond Mason for just Luke Ridnour and Adrian Griffin. Ridnour was very expendable because of Russell Westbrook's drafting. I'm getting excited for some OKC games.

Cleveland Cavaliers acquired Mo Williams and lost Joe Smith. I'm not sure if this is good or bad for Cavaliers because I think Joe Smith is at least nearly as good. The added scoring might work. I think they should probably try to find a way to release Delonte West with a solid guard trio now. LeBron James will probably have to supplement the weak Zydrunas Ilgauskas-Ben Wallace-Anderson Varejao frontcourt though.

What about Tiger Woods? And I think soccer might still be the most popular sport, surely it has some very popular superstars.

Of all the athletes in the Olympics right now Kobe has been swarmed the most.

LeBron even stated at one point, these exact words - "I thought I was famous, until I came here with Kobe"

NBA season is about to return, and it's time for this thread to return too. I'm looking forward to this season, especially on the Houston Rockets. T-Mac, Yao and Artest this year, I'm looking forward to seeing their games. Three more days until the season begins.

Your thoughts/concerns?

I think Lakers are going to take the champion ship, they have a healthy team now.

Also, raptors are going to do well, they have a solid team that can be a championship contender. Also, Pistons, same thing, make it to the conference finals and lose. Lol.

Boston isn't going to go anywhere, they had their run last year.

New Orleans are going to go far as well; predicting Hornets vs Lakers in West finals, and Pistons and Miami in east.
