The Nets traded Jefferson for Yi.

Portland drafted Brandon Rush, a nice move. It filled a need and they got good value. He could start alongside Roy next year. Assuming Oden will play next year they should compete for a playoff spot.

Edit: Traded for Bayless, all my comments are still valid. They needed another guard.

The Jefferson trade was a good one. He really wasn't ever going to stand out as a star without Kidd as the PG.

Portland is having a great draft so far, especially considering they only had one first rounder going into this.

The Seattle picks are spotty, especially the second one. The Kings were kind of grabbing at straws, good for them if their pick works, but it was risky. I'm not a fan of the Charlotte pick either.

The Spurs really needed a big man more than another guard, but really anybody is good for a sub at this point. Is George Hill any good? :P

I actually quite like that pick at that point in the draft. He could definitely get some playing time in the next 2 years. He's 6'2'' 180 and shot 52% in college. 21.5 points per game this last season.

Edit: Word on the street is that he's quick and good at penetrating and either taking it to the rim or passing it off. A good ball handler to boot.

George Hill isn't bad, but if why would you pass up Chris Douglas-Roberts.

I don't think he was taken and he's been looked at way more on a bigger level.

Yeah, CDR isn't drafted yet. Still, the Spurs have Tony Parker, so I'm happy with a young scoring and passing PG.

They clearly liked Hill's free throw shooting better.

Sometimes the Spurs think they are really clever, CD-R or Mario Chalmers would have been good picks at that point too.
