The apps are just a set of free ones with a menu system on it. Not all programs can be run from a USB Drive. They would have to be Installed on to a PC. If you can run it from a USB drive then you do not have to Install it on any one pc. Just keep the USB drive with you and use it on any PC.

This post isn't made for any advertising reasons - the link is a normal link, not a referrer trackback link, and also, what is the point of this post? To interest others in a helpful tool - not to advertise.....
Portableapps are great tools....its a great site....why can't it be posted? its only open source software that is being portable-ized and its very very handy |

I'm not saying it shouldn't be posted, but he could've at the very least post something more, instead of only a link and basic info. There's just no possibility of reacting to his post. It's like "I has a subject, now you guys find a way to talk about it". Now it's just like an add you'd find on any popup.

I use something along these lines on my SanDisk memory pen that uses the U3 bootable system. It can be quite useful since I spent alot of time on university computers having a browser with your own bookmarks can save alot of time when you cant remember the site you wish to visit(mine doesnt use firefox though since I dont use it anyway) however who wouldnt want a portable copy of open office
Portable Apps is well worth having a mooch at ![]()

I dislike U3 for a few reasons
1) uses a bunch of resources 2) it runs in taskbar ...bar....some labs and schools (like my high school) denied users the ability to use the taskbar or have icons there at all |
