Gina
On May 21st, President Bush signed into law the Genetic Information Nondiscrimination Act (GINA), which prohibits U.S. insurance companies and employers from discriminating on the basis of information derived from genetic tests.
I'd like to know what people think about this "GINA". Does it actually prevent discrimination, or does it just prevent people from doing business on a basis of probability? Is there any difference between the two? Don't insurance companies ALREADY deal in probabilities, and thus are already agencies of discrimination? |

Kind of lame, insurance companies are in the business of making money, they are playing the odds when they take on someone with alot of genetic risks. It should be up to them if they offer a policy or not, and how much they pay.

Yeah I'm kinda confused about this: I've heard some good arguments against GINA but apparently it swept through the house and senate almost unanimously... I wonder if there's some sort of trump argument for GINA or something like that?
