Let's say for instance that there are two people in one bed. The factors of 2 are 2 and 1. Depending on the happiness quotient of both people at the time of going to sleep one of two things can happen. If things are going well, 2-1 is 1 and therefore the last remaining article of clothing will soon be on the floor. If things are going not so well, 2-1 still equals 1 but only one person will be remaining on the bed, the other on the couch and the person on said couch will have 2+1= 3 pieces of clothing on since it's cold in my living room.

If there is one person in the bed (i.e. me) the factors of 1 are 1 and 1. 1+1 is 2 and therefore two pieces of clothing will be worn.
