I think I'm feeling old. What's up with all these acronyms? Where do they come from anyway? How the heck did they become popular? Here, I'll make up an acronym. IHA. You know what that means? Perhaps there's some magical intuitive sense youth has for acronyms? I.H.A. I can't believe it. I just looked it up on google and I'm not the first one who has come up with it. It's insane I tell you! Insane! Today I had to look up two acronyms I ran into on the board. One of them I've seen several times and just didn't have the desire to look it up. QFT. I thought it was something bad cause people would say it after the most ridiculous comments. But no, it's not bad. It's just sad. And then somebody rep'd my post and said "tl;dr". I looked it up online and found an urban dictionary description saying that it is literally "too long, didn't read" and "said whenever a nerd makes a post that is too long to bother reading." Wonderful. I'm a "postwench". I've been categorized, dismissed, and am now incapable of communicating with today's youth.

Yes, that was you shatterstar. You have the honors of throwing an acronym at me I've never seen in my life. And I don't even want to try to untangle the meaning behind your post (I do happily to know what RTFM means, though. yay!).

I'm still not over it, though. How the heck do these things become popular? Does somebody just spit out an acronym at random on a forum at the far corners of the internet and other people are like "what the heck you talking about, man" and the guy explains it and all of his fans are blurting it out on all the forums they know. And then all their friends are "what the heck?" and the cycle goes on and on until it's on urban dictionary. It's like a virus. The internet is sick and contagious. We're catching the disease.
