Hey everyone.

I need your help with something. My boyfriend and I have been dating for 13 months and now live together. Today is our 13th month and I want to do something special. He works really hard and is always talking about how we don't spend enough time together, so I want coming home from work today to be a TOTAL shock.

I have cleaned the whole house and made covered the window in our bedroom with a thick blanket so it is really dark. When he comes home there will be candles lit, inscents going and rose petals everywhere. (He likes romance, its a big thing in our relationship.)

The thing I am stuck with is:

I don't know what to wear and what to cook for a romantic dinner. If anyone has any ideas it would be greatly appreciated. I know he is my boyfriend and I should know what he wants to see me in but he tells me I look amazing in everything so it is hard to tell what really blows his mind.

Imagine yourself being treated to a romantic night, what would YOU want to eat for dinner and what would you wear to set the mood?

After 13 months together you should know by now what his favourite meal is.

As for what to wear, that would depend on a lot of things. Not least, how old you are, and what you want from the night, if you know what I mean.

Really, you should know what to do much more than anyone else would. This thread is rather pointless because most suggestions won't be suitable for your relationship. If you aren't going to come up with your own ideas for the night, then it won't be your ideas making the night special for him, it'll be someone else's ideas.

Best possible suggestion: be yourself. That's who your boyfriend wants you to be.

I am aware that he wants me to be myself. I just have no idea what to wear to set the mood. I'm not the fashion department and I want it to be perfect. I know what his favourite meal is as well but I don't have the money to buy it (as his birthday was just recent and we had it then) and cook it. It also is not really ROMANTIC. It's like I said, it has to be perfect. He deserves the best.

On a serious note this is something serious and ultimately something you need to come to on your own. NEVER ask the Internet for advice about your relationship. Nobody has the knowledge to give any real advice worth taking to heart seeing as we've never met you or your boyfriend we don't know anything about what appeals to them. All we can really do is joke about it.
