Question Druid

These human mages sought to harness the restorative powers of nature, no match for the divine powers of the clerics, the druids studies soon took a more sinister turn and now they hurt opponents to heal their allies!

Appearance: (wears a long dark grey cloak, with hood ( only lower half of face visible),skin color is a pale grey and his arms are exposed much like the pyromancers, the exception is his arms have tribal tatoos on them (team color) and grasping a staff with a circular crest at the top, a glowing gem inside the crest radiates team color.

HP:32
POWER:12 UNBLOCKABLE UNREDUCEABLE
ARMOR:0%
BLOCKING:30%
MOVEMENT:3
RECOVERY:3
RANGE: 3

Basicaly the Druid on initial attack will suck the life out of any opponent within a LW radius for 12 damage . And any allied units within that LW radius will get healed using the hp taken from the opponents.

here is a series of theoretical examples

#1) scenario druid aproaches a wall of 3 knights, 2 knight of yours are also near in the Radius of effect.... your Druid moves in and sucks 12 hp from the 3 knights.. (totak 36 hp sucked)..now the druid disperses the hp evenly among his allies.....since there are 3 units the heal = 12....


#2) scenario druid and 1 unit move in to a turtle.... (say a DT is with him) and there are 4 enemies within his radius....

he steals 48 hp total from the enemies and disperses it between him and the lone DT ..each recieves 24 hp!

The more enemies there are and the less allies there are, the greater the heal!....

Obviously the druid can completely restore his hp in certain situations, but this is rare.....(or is it?)

This unit paired with a cleric could negate any damage done to it "IF" favorable conditions exist.

In some cases it is deadly as sin, and in others it is as harmless as a pankake.

It is still under development...
perhaps a reduction in power might be helpful (10) maybe (8) i mean now that i look at it it it is a monster in a turt. (hurt your enemies while you heal yourself.....nasty concept) too many complicated scenarios at this time for me to totaly figure out.

i figure a reduction "may" be needed since you could negate any heal done to your enemy while the enemy is attacking your turtle (druids low wait time 2 if he doesnt move) beats the cleric all day!

Who knows...perhaps it is great paired with a bw and a cleric.....egh

Personally, I like it. I can't decide if it's overpowered or not. The fact that it dies within 2 knight hits (even with a cleric heal, or in another situation where it heals only 12 to itself) is a good balance for the fact it has the potential to heal your units a great deal, while taking hp away from your enemies.

Now that I think about it again I actually think it's pretty balanced. It's recovery is going to be it's real downfall though. It will obviously be more of a defensive unit (unless stoned, but it still would be better off on defense IMO) that hides behind the protection of your knights or LW while healing itself along with your weaker units. The one thing I didn't notice is what kind of unit would this be: Grey, rare drop, single gold, double gold?

Altogether, great work! (Unfortunately, somewhere I remember reading that there wouldn't be any more healing units unless under certain conditions, but I can't remember if that's true or not. You may wanna look into that.)

EvyaAlpha is sucking big time
This unit is way over powered. Its like a cleric with muscles. Combine this with orginal cleric and your units will never die. Nice try though.

Hmm....it has powers of natures but it has healing abilities, that's wierd.
We have clerics to heal, we don't need more healing units.

MMMMmnmmmm i like this unit, doesnt matter if it is junked due to the rules ( i understand ) but it seems like an original premise.... w/e, hope SeeD see's this beauty....mmmmmm maybeh i can put a tooth under mah pillow or crack a turkey leg.. to make a wish...Yeeaaaarrruuuureeghhht.

or slap a crusty one on the boogeyman and he says " high five you got new unit".

Thats a unique way to put things.... Also, if I'm not mistaken, this unit is 5 times as thoughtful as your little cannon thing that isn't worth naming correctly.

Actually Drow, speaking of other healing units, we could use one as long as it was balanced, that would add tons of strategy. I'm pretty sure I heard that seed was making one before he mysteriously vanished from earth.

Seed hasn't vanished, and I believe he mentioned that there would be no more healing units in the game.

I think it's overpowered. It has a possible range of 6. Despite its low HP, this is far too much, especially considering how with each actual move, it gains HP.

It needs to have its Movement+Range, Attack, and HP decreased.

First of all I quite enjoy Bloodriegns units. Infact I try to read them as much as I can. However this unit I am afraid is not TAO friendly. We already have a cleric, a healer, and it has been stated before, and it will be stated again, TAO has no need for another healer.

This unit however is more powerful then the cleric, more HP, better wait, and is the only mage with blocking. The fact that it can attack and heal at the same time unbalances it. And with the no move rule, he needs only 2 turns per attack. Well supported this unit would devastate your opponents ranks indefinitely.

Again we do not need another unit that surpasses another unit in its stats, otherwise the original unit would be useless.

Example: If I made an uber knight with better HP< Armor, Blocking, or wait everyone would use that Uber Knight and completely ignore the original, regardless of how unbalanced it seems.

This unit is a big NO.
