Just because someone has no intro doesn't mean they'll be ignored. People should only make intros that aren't a waste of space/don't encourage spammers. Effectively, if you think you'll do more than look at the LDT or similar, then yeah, feel free. But if you do it just because you're told to, what's the point?

Oh and yeah, intro threads are pointless, we've established that.

IMO, I think if you just integrate yourself into the community with what you are about, it is better than saying

"Hi, I'm a noob, I'm going to be great here".

I'm sure its already been said, but eh I don't feel like looking, and repeating something tends to leave a lasting impression.

But yeah, to bad most "newbs" make intros before they read stickies.

If it was for the post count all you would have to do is simply start junking intro threads. Then people wouldn't post in them.
