In making a password for your account lets make good ones. With that said here are some things you need to do to help keep your account safe.

1) Password length should be 8 to 10 digits long.
2) Passwords should have upper and lower case letters in them with numbers and/or symbols.
3) Try not to use words but if you do miss spell them.
4) Do not give your password out to anyone.

My idea of a good password is this: Sg-1is2@Wi

YOU MUST HAVE A MAINTENANCE CODE TO CHANGE YOUR PASSWORD

* Maintenance code can be found by logging into your Paypal account history or checking your Paypal email records.

For mail-in or old accounts you can E-Mail Seed and he will E-Mail a Maintenance code back to you. This is also found on the link above.

If you where upgraded by a Friend!?!?
If you have had a friend upgrade you then you better get the Maintenance code from your friend or have them E-Mail Seed with their paypal E-Mail account to get the code for you and then change your password. With out this code you can not change your password.

PS. In Game Mods can Not change a password for you..

If for some reason you can not change your password and you have your MAINTENANCE CODE then YOU NEED to check your Maintenance Code and old password and make sure they are all correct. The maximum password length is 10. If this does not work then you need to E-Mail Seed and ask for help. Follow the information above.

DO NOT share your password for your ingame account. You cannot trust people on the internet. Do not come complaining to the moderators about your account being hacked or your clan stolen. It is YOUR FAULT for giving away your clan or password.

Its stupid, just don't do it.

If you are a grey and your account is hacked, there is nothing that can or will be done, as grey accounts are not supported. For golds, if your password is compromised your account will be kicked from in game in sight until the password is changed. To get your password changed you need to email tao@digisonline.com and request it there with your gold account maintenance code. You very well may need to wait a long time, that is why your account will be kicked on sight to ensure security.

Until your account's password is restored, and that is verified, you will not be allowed to play on your account.

If you have any questions, send a personal message to any game staff.

Just don't be stupid and don't ever give out the password to any account you have access to or give away your clan.

Pass Word Hacking

The passwords that people get off of TAO are not HACKED but are Given Out to them, Shared or are GUEESED. A program that uses a list to GUESS passwords is how this is done. If you use a good password then it will be hard to guess it.
