In short good-bye threads are totally unneeded and just seem like a last minute way of trying to seek attention in most situations.

If there so unneed then why did you even make one. Also the people that are making leaving threads are respected members of
LF whereas you have 27ish posts and negg rep. And if someone just puts "I'm leaving, goodbye" in their sig how will we know they've left. They aren't posting so we can't see their sig.
