Team Gold vs Team Purple

Team Gold - vietnamese_boy, Zehro, Batsmasher

vs

Team Purple - Xiahou Dun, Girshwin, ChrisIIX

Host: EverL

Questions: Q/A (with 4 multiple choices), word scrambles and riddles.

The host will start off with a question for Team Gold. Anyone from the team can answer the question. If they get the question wrong, the same question goes to the other team. It goes in this pattern until one team hits 5 points. The winning team will go onto the final round to play the winner of the other match. Good luck teams. When EverL posts the first question for team gold, the match starts.

OK, we'll start start with team GOLD.

I will be giving you a: riddle.

In this riddle, guessing can be your way to success, or your path of demise.

The three wisest magicians in the land were brought before the king to see which of them were worthy to become the king's advisor. After passing many tests of cunning and invention, they were pitted against each other in a final battle of the wits.
Led blind-folded into a small room, the magicians were seated around a small wooden table as the king described the test for them.

"Upon each of your heads I have placed a hat. Now you are either wearing a blue hat or a white hat. All I will tell you is this- at least one of you is wearing a blue hat. There may be only one blue hat and two white hats, there may be two blue hats and one white hat, or there may be three blue hats. But you may be certain that there are not three white hats."

"I will shortly remove your blind folds, and the test will begin. The first to correctly announce the colour of his hat shall be my advisor. Be warned however, he who guesses wrongly shall be beheaded. If not one of you answers within the hour, you will be sent home and I will seek elsewhere for wisdom."

With that, the king uncovered the magicians' eyes and sat in the corner and waited. One magician looked around and saw that his competitors each were wearing blue hats. From the look in their eyes he could see their thoughts were the same as his, "What is the colour of my hat?"

For what seemed like hours no one spoke. Finally he stood up and said, "The colour of the hat I am wearing is..."

What colour is the magician's hat? This riddle is different as if you fail to give an explanation, I will give this riddle to the Purple team and if they give a proper explanation, they can knot the score up at 1.

If team gold doesn't answer the question 24 hours from when EverL posted, the question is then handed to the other team to answer.

Team gold took too long to answer. Riddle now goes to team purple. If correct, they get a point and their turn to get a question from EverL.

I've been trough every possible situation, and I think his hat is blue.

Let's first make clear that if any of the 3 magicians saw 2 white hats, he'd immediately conclude his own hat's the blue one.

If 'our' magician wore a white hat, the other magicians both would've seen a blue and a white hat. And, realizing that if their hat would've been white, the other one would've immediately said his hat would be the only blue one. So seeing as this isn't the case, one of the two would've said his hat was blue after a little while.

But seeing as neither of the other 2 magicians reacts for a while, 'our' guy must conclude that this isn't the case. Thus his own hat is blue.
