Hey guys, lost my password for a little bit. Glad to see the forum is undergoing some major changes and grats to Jeff. =)

Anywho, I stumbled across this game recently (CrossFire) and some of may have heard about it. At first I disliked it because there are quite a few hackers (which should be fixed in the upcoming patches) but it is definitely an addicting game. It is an FPS, with a multitude of guns and sub-guns with a few different melee options. It is a download but I haven't come across any viruses besides maybe a few advertising/tracking cookies which can easily be removed with a half-crap antivirus program. If we get a fair amount of activity, I'll consider making a clan which we can then compete for better rankings.

Nope, download the 130+ MB installer, register your account on the website, and off it goes!
Oh and when you have reached corporal level you can join a Clan... Best clan around: STRATEGIC INSOMNIACS ofcourse!

The fall of legends is reason why I started out playing this game. And it is the reason why I have never ever touched TAO since

Join Strategic Insomniacs in Crossfire, we have very skilled and active players, as well as numerous Guides, Tutorials, Tips and tricks, many of those even unknown to high-ranked clans (like weapon clone).

About the hackers issue: Yes it is annoying, but you can kick players out of a running game by vote kick. So all you need to do is to play in rooms with ppl who hate hackers too, and you will have a wonderful time. Sure after each patch there is about 2 weeks time before new hacks are out, and hackers begin to haunt ther servers again. But that is in no case ruining the game!

Yeah some of us have been playing it since this server died. The game is not tao related at all, its a shooter game with some new additions to general concept of a common shooter game, such as the ghost mode.

You have to download it, it might take sometime if your computer's system is not that good, but after that you ll enjoy everything of it, it becomes highly addictive pretty soon.

Subagames brought this vietnamese game and its really cool, it updates every 3 or 4 weeks and with tons of stuff to lose your free time if you really want it, now as bogs said SI started there since the open beta, just when it went out. We have been playing it for like 3 months and so far we have no complaints.

Make sure you have a headphones set , CF has 3D sound if you use them, and it would be a lot of help to get some extra kills and avoid a few shoots on yourself.

I'm starting to think that I should try this game again... I downloaded it few months ago when someone (Loopget probably) first time introduced the game in Strategic Insomniacs forums, but I seriously sucked and then I uninstalled it. Didn't like the game that much either, but I guess it has changed since then.

I got one too maybe when you get back on we can play,also if you guys are interested in good free fps, try out operation 7 I suggest you try it loads of fun. Information here. ::: Welcome to Netgame :::

Also to ppl who want a better description on crossfire ..think of it as a free online conter strike, uses the same style.
