Channeller

Alternately, Soul Linker (RO addict >>)

Channeller

This human has learned to act as a conduit for others.

Human Spellcaster
HP: 30
Power: Focus Channel
Block: 15%
Armor: --
Recovery: 4 (2A/2M)
Movement: 3 (standard human)

Range: Any friendly unit within 2 cells


Focus Channel: Copies the attacking abilities of any friendly unit within 2 squares with 0 recovery, to be used immediately. The Channeller stays in focus until it moves/attacks again, but cannot use the attack again unless it re-channels.

This effectively extends the range of any friendly unit (think Lightning Ward). but remains delicate enough not to send out into open warfare.

Usually when you have 3 attack recovery that's the most recovery it can get, you don't add up the movement and attack recovery to get 5 recovery.

I'm not sure what you're saying, zz99, but while I'm not quite ready to comment on the unit itself, the cleric has 5 recovery in that exact mannner, so you're wrong.

Remember how a lightning ward has a 3-cell range? The channeller channels it from 2 squares away, and it can now reach two extra squares away. Diagram:


L - LWard
C - Channeller
O - Space
X - LW Range
R - Channeller's NEW range

XOOROOO
XXRRROO
XRRRRRO
LRRCRRR
XRRRRRO
XXRRROO
XOOROOO

See, normally the LW only reaches to where the Channeller is. But channelled, boom, three extra spaces. This would also be handy for using a certain unit's attack twice -once with channeller, once with actual unit-


EDITS TO THE CHANNELLER

Attack becomes Focus Channel: Attack can only be used the turn it is channelled, but Channeller stays in Focus until it does something again.

Channel can only be used on units with 0 recovery time left.

I strongly recommend dropping the Hp to 30 so it isn't used too aggressively.

no he means that it when it attacks, and doesntmove it would be 3, its just the same recovery as a cleric

and i am almost positive i have seen this unit before...search ditto i think..maybe its something different..not sure
