The Shadow
My first unit I posted over on FPS, so go easy on me.
![]() Name: The Shadow HP: 50 Armor: 0 Power: 22(unblockable)* Range: 5* Block: 50(front)/25(side) Movement: 5 Wait: 2 *It takes two turns for this unit to attack. First turn, the attacker chooses a tile to attack(anywhere it can move) and then the Shadow dissolves into the game board. At the end of the agressor's next turn, the shadow will reappear in the tile the agressor chose, doing 22 unblockable damage to whatever is there. After the attack, the agressor chooses one of the surrounding tiles for the shadow to move to. If the four surrounding tiles are not open, the shadow automatically moves to the closest open tile.

nice unit, IHMO quite balanced and original but underpowered . having a good range can be useful for taking down scouts and magicians, even if fast melee would kill it easily. It is like a muddie with unblockable damage but has 1 waiting turn and no quake... playable but weak ;) nice idea though!

The unit is quite balanced. No blocking, yet able to attack. The thing is it would be quite easy for you to kill it without dual clerics. Other then that it is pretty good unit.

well, 22 direct hit is not so heavy IMHO. Imblockable is quite good, but with teleport a muddie can do the same quite well (teleporting BEHIND) most the time. 1 turn waiting is a bad disadvantage: an unblockable unit like this can't relly be good as inisher because common counters are esily found: cleric healing, just moving away, barrier.
if the unit attacked is not important, opponent will have 1 free turn to do whatever he likes. Compare with mud: he teleport in, can quake (umblockable damage) or teleport behind (most cases) with 20 power punch, and the wait 2 turns. The shadow: teleport in, wait (but can't get hit), then attack for 22 unblockable damage and wait 2 turns the damage from this unit is shifted in 3 waiting turns (even if 1 waiting turn is not killable). Double cleric support it well, but many other units are well backed by dual cleric (muddie and beasties first)...my opinion is that the unit is weak. the only advantage i can see that with that waiting turn you can have 2 attacks on the same unit, finishing it in 1 turn (22 from a knight + 22 from the shadow)...but it needs particular situations ;) Sorry for my really bad English.... does it count for victory ? what about while it is dissolved ?
very nice if stoned, a Barrier makes it really useful. I would play one on a witch rush, just for the variety. unique
