Special: Defense! Any friendly unit standing 1 square away (including diagonal) from the Phalanx, will be protected by his shield. The Phalanx will absorb half of the damage while the unit that was meant to get hit, the other half of the damage. He cannot protect against magic and earthquakes.

Additional Information:
-Only double golds recieve this unit.
-Steps aside for friendly units.

Great for backrow stone turtles. Lets say if you put the Phalanx in front of the stone golem and stone your units. The Phalanx is protecting almost every unit near it for high damage. The cleric, the stone, the frost, etc, etc. will be protected. High attack power to inflict some heavy damage, great blocking.

Phalanxes were a formation rather than the name given to individual soldiers. You wouldn't call a cavalry unit a "wedge", would you? A better name for it would be "hoplite".

Actually, that gives me an idea...

if another unit was staning diagonal from your unit, it would be 2 squares away
it is also not a good name though......everything else is ok
