HP:33 Armor: - Blocking: 30% Power:Focus: Immolation Range:as Frost Golem Focus:Immolation: Deals 2 damage when Focus is established. At end of each player's turn, Focus: Immolation deals 2 cumulative damage. (2 at end of player's turn, 4 at end of opponent's turn, 6 at end of player's next turn, 8 and end of opponent's next turn, etc.) Immolated unit takes 4 damage per square moved (or 4 total if unit is a Teleporter). All damage inflicted by this spell ignores armor. Move: 3 Wait: 3 Special: none Why This Unit Is the Way It Is: HP/Armor: Just enough to live through 2 Knight hits with a heal, but dies to a Scout shot and a Mudpound without one. Blocking: Just enough to make you want to not attack from the front. Power: Takes 2 turns to equal a Knight hit, but gets gross after that. Range: Enough to make sure that an unprotected Bloodburner gets her Focus broken by whatever she's Burning right off. Move: Human. Wait: Caster. I would have gone to a 4 Wait, but it makes the unit too vulnerable when moving. Special:n/a How This Unit would Change the Game: Would bring the Barrier Ward back to the Double Gold game. Also, a huge boon to the war against Armored Beast Riders and the like. Also gives the ability to have a Focus Unit that deals damage (like the Wisp) but won't die horribly on the first turn if it's within LW range.

You brought a tear to my eye. I'm reminded of cumulative upkeep. Good times.
I may have to try and see what I can do in the way of Fading for my next idea. It's very powerful, you're going to shred anything if you can hold focus. However it's useless unless you can find a turn where your opponent can't break focus. I'm not sure what to fully think of it yet. |

this is very cool, I like it alot, the stacking damage is good for taking down dragon and knights... does it affect wards ? if so then this is a turt killer...

Yes, it affects wards, too. It was kind of designed as a turt-killer, though it would take some careful setup to avoid immediately losing Focus to a GA/Mud/Scout/Pyro shot.
The real idea was to run out and nab the first unit that a Judge-style turt came in with, Barrier up, and watch the Scout/BR fry in it's own juices.
