Hidden Rogue
Seeking to counter the deadly assassins hired to kill this bandit who dwells in the wilderness trained as a Assassin, but with a twist. The long years of these rogues hiding from the law has made them learn how to somewhat vanish as soon as they come near rocks and trees.
Name: Hidden Rogue HP: 40 Armor: 8 Attack: 15/30 Movement: 3 Recovery: 3 Attack range: Either square to the front, side or back of him. Like a knight for those who didn't know. Blocking: 50% front, 25% side. Heres where I had some fun. ;) Special Abilites: BackStab: When the HR takes a backshot blockable or unblockable attack, it will hit the unit with 30 damage.Doesn't apply to ranged attacks. Heres my favourite ability: Sneak: The HR has the ability to completely disappear from sight. The rogue makes no footsteps while in Sneak mode. This is activated the same way as the assassin, you hold the unit for 3 secounds then it. disappears. However, the rogue cannot move immediately after sneak has been initiated. In other words, once sneak has been activated, the rogue must wait to recover before moving. Sneak can be deactivated if the rogue attacks or is attacked. Also, the rogue is revealed if it comes within 2 spaces of a Dragon due to its hightened sences. Attempted movement to the square that an invisible rogue is occupying will result in a non-teleporting unit stopping in an adjacent square and a teleporting unit being returned to its square of origin. The sneak also wears off after 4 turns to avoid forced draws end game. Just trying to answer some questions that would be asked about the unit in the red text. ;) It has a few weaknesses, weak as a scout in armor and hp and low blocking which could be changed, not sure. And it has some strong points, it could be used offensively to sneak into the enemys half then do some damage. And obviciously you can use it defensively to go behind rushing units and deal some damage. Great for when units are spread around the board! ~ Your CAU Nooblet. Invisibility is rather hard to balance. You'd have to put it near the back of your formation otherwise it would just get hit immediately assuming your opponent has any kind of short-term memory. The ward rule would make it hard to infiltrate a grey form of all things. I'd say make the Dragon the sentry unit (heightened sense of smell? IDK) that can detect it. The game will never favour greys in any way.
You didn't mention when it did 30 damage. For future reference, a range of one is considered melee or simply one adjacent square. That'll save you some words in the future. The recovery is way too high. 1 or 2 would suffice, this isn't a particularly strong unit. 2 recovery after going invisible almost negates the purpose due to the aforementioned reasoning. Maybe Essence can help me out on this, but I say 1 or 2. |

1) Why do you keep calling it an "AR"? shouldn't it be an "HR"?
2) I think the Sneak should be something that wears off over time... maybe 5 turns or so? Otherwise in endgame you could force draw by just going into Sneak and running away in some random direction... jerk move. 3) Just to clarify... he can't do his backstab counter thingy off a ranged attack? 4) I'm confused: why is his attack 15/30? Doing a half point of damage is ridiculously underpowered. =P |

a Rogue is the same thing as a assassin but an assassin is just paid to kill
This unit was good for Hp and movment but its way to over powerd like this is a walking lighting ward with a knife and a harry potter invisable cape. Most units dont even have a speical move and this one has 2!!
