Irarimus Ward
Name: Mira....errr(
S3RO ) Irarimus WardHp: 52 Power: S Armor: -- Blocking: 100% Movement: Immobile Recovery: S Range: S +Invoke Attack +Mystic Stone Mystic Stone: The stone used to forge this ward is magical, and is immune to paralysis and poison. Thus the ward can only be killed by magical means. Invoke Attack: The Irarimus may duplicate the attack of any non-ward unit you possess that is not in recovery. The range and power of the attack are identical but are performed from the location of the ward. Recovery is set to the recovery of that unit for attack and movement +1. Min 2(Knight, Br, etc...) Max 6(Cleric). Activation: To active click on the Irarimus and select the attack icon. Valid units you possess will show up as targets. You will then select one and then the new attack pattern based from the Irarimus will show up. Note: The Irarimus can go into focus in which case focus rules apply. The Irarimus can mudquake, however, it can't assassin bomb. The Irarimus would be available through double upgrade only. You can only have 1 Irarimus on the field at a time. |

I think it's overpowered. It's also too complex. You can't expect basic players to remember "immune paralysis and poison, can only be killed magically, can only duplicate non-recovery attacks, +1 recovery".
First of all, it shouldn't be able to mudquake. It shouldn't be able to do attacks that are limited to "only when one ____ is on the field". I think this makes sense because this is like a duplicate unit in ways. Also, I just don't find anything interesting about having a ward that can take over the attack and range of your units. It would make it possible to use a 28-power attack twice in a row on a unit. Basically, if you keep your Dragon Tyrant out of recovery, nothing will dare go into a DT's range of this ward, because of the two 28-powered attacks that can suddenly hit them. Legends already had enough unit duplicates anyways.

I like it. Which is probably the only ward unit I have ever liked. However, it is slightly to strong in terms of being killed. Gives you 2 clerics, albeit one very inefficient one. What would make it better is if you made it unable to be healed. The only gold units that are going to be able to damage it that are used are the Dragon/DSM.
It can be used in many different ways. Digid is right about the dragon problem. Maybe if you had it add 1 recovery to the unit whose attack it duplicated, that would be an interesting twist.

Is a beastly unit. Much fun to use. Using it as a scout would be fun, as well as cleric or dragon.
One thing: To break the units focus when attacking as a frost golem, is the only way to do it with a unblockable attack? If so I think this is to strong with the focus abilities, so the ability to use secondary attacks is to strong.

Well If you choose to use it as a dragon it would basically be a lightning ward. The less recovery time compared to a lw is canceled out by the fact you can only use the ability if your dragon is out of recovery.

Well yeah thats true, but even still... If you use it as a second LW...
Its still to much. There is a reason that there are a certain amounts units allowed on the field/in the game. This completely disregards that. What if you used it as a furgon? Or DSM? Or even if you used it as a berzerker, as people are going for your back field. Thats just to much.... Granted it would be cool, and fun to use, its overpowered. |
