Merge of Flase Demise, Aria of Sorrow, and 天朝不败 (The Celestial Empire)

To all FD, AOS, and Celestial members, an argument has come up regarding the merge of our clans. It seems most of FD and AOS are for this merge, along with my fellow co-leader King Of The Demons. However, I must decline this move as the co-leader of our clan for one important reason: our clan was created to serve as a community for Chinese TAO players. Despite creating a clan with some of our friends and their fellow members, I'm afraid we would lose our clan identity. Furthermore, about half of our clan speaks almost no English, so how would they be able to communicate with the other clan members? One huge clan with about 100 members is also annoying, as all we would ever see on the screen is blue text. The final say in our clan depends on Bobcat, the leader, who is currently taking a break from TAO to focus on college. Unfortunately for most, I'm very sure he would agree with me when he comes back, as he created this clan for the reason mentioned before. Eventually if this decision becomes an impasse, we will have to start a poll and decide wether the merge should happen or not.

P.S. Sticky please, as this affects members in 3 clans.

Me, as a member of 天朝不败, and aria of sorrow, i would say that you should lose reputation and the position of Co-leader of 天朝不败 for making this topic. I think you know that we put it clearly on our clan website that we are doing this as a vote, and not by leadership, as you put out that is basicly saying that we are not going to merge in, and you clearly can not speak for bobcat no matter what he thinks. Yes i know you can expell me from 天朝不败 and decrease my reputation mark from making this post, but you do know that whatever you do to me you can not speak for our whole entire clan!

And just letting you know I Am really angry about this...

Why would you be angry? you agree of the merge? 天朝不败is a Chinese clan if they merge they wouldn't be what they are now would they? What's your argument for merging if you want to merge?

EDIT: ok yea i see your vote, but the result well still be the same as what Yang said :P. Anyways none my bussiness, carry on.

Dude, I'm not gonna expel you for expressing your opinions, as long as it's not too offensive. I was only saying that there would be a very high chance that Bobcat would say the same thing I said, because I joined our clan for this sole purpose. Do you really wanna see the first Chinese clan on TAO ever to be mixed with two other clans, let alone one? Most importantly, you of all people would have a hard time staying in the new clan as your rating fluctuates around 1250.

This is none of my business, but i think clan merges are a very bad idea. Clans are entities with very different internal laws and relationships, merging clans means forcing 2 different entities to abandon all their own peculiarities and identities to become a bigger entity with less laws, less friendship and less meaning.

I think that clan merges usually are tried when a clan is getting weak and needs help from the outside, or when a leader has no patience and tries the desperate move to increase a clan in no time, but the risk is to lose everything.

I've been asked a lot of times to merge my clan, but i would never do it.
