Ive had this to me about 3 times before,
I will challenge someone, click a square,
someone will click the square at the same time as me and we will go into a match, this is what happened.

what happens there is that the other person puts his avatar down before the game attributes your square to you and establishes the challenge

as the wording of the challenge is that you have to put the avatar down on and empty square, thus putting the avatar down on a non-empty square cancels the challenge

its always best to pick a higher numbered floor to initiate challenges, as it nearly eliminates these kinds of cases
