Manipulating chances

Manipulating chances

Is it possible to hit a knight from the side when the knight has +130 blocking? it just happened to me MANY times when i was playing against the player "end". My units didn't defend a single hit. Maybe he is vieweing RAM and found the chances address and made a program to always hit on the correct frame or something? I'm not talking about having extreme bad luck though, he did the impossible.

Its probably just luck because as long as their is a one percent chance for a hit theirs still a chance that your knight will be hit.

It doesnt seem that way, when 130+ blocking, it usually means 20%, or at least thats the message I've gotten from recent experiences. *cry*

Its just luck, thats why they make it a 1% chance instead of a 0%. With that 1% you still have a chance for a very lucky hit instead of no chance.

% blocking chances are almost never 100%. It is almost always 99%, unless it is crazy high, like 160.

Um yeah, just look at the actual percent chance, if it's 0% it shouldn't happen but yet it can. The thing is that the chance is somewhere between 0 and 1 but it can't be shown.

I see. Then i guess it should show "1%" not "0%". 0% means NO WAY.

The problem is that it rounds. Thus anything .499999999etc% and lower will be counted as zero.

The system is integers only, meaning that the blocking program cannot compute fractions. It could be made to compute it...but that is a hassle.

you're contraditing what they said. they just said that it computes between 0% and 1%, it only doesn't show it to the player.
