The Best Game I Have Ever Played
i was on Anhedonia at my friends house so i figured i'd play.
we got into a game with a grey named Later Gator. he was about 1250. it was an opposite side game opponents units: 3 knights, cleric, barrier, chanty, scout, LW, assassin, mud golem. turtle my units: 2 cleric, frost, furgon, mud, 3 knights, scout, LW. turtle ![]() the game lasted 2.5 hours, 1.5 of it without any unit loss occurring. the furgon was the absolute most crucial unit in this game. it dictated the entire flow of the game. he sent two knights at the front of my set, while sending assassin, mud, knight at my flank. he kind of set the scout in between the two flankers to break focus if it had to. i shrubbed off my flank rather skillfully, and he shattered the wall of shrubs with startlingly good timing and position. i reshrubbed and managed to keep him out. this went on for a while. he tried the other side of the flank, but that didnt work either. i was shooting at his mud and scout through the shrubs, but he kept healing and retreating and barriering well. i focused on keeping his mud damaged so he couldnt teleport in at full health i guess he figured the timing was right because he rushed in mud and assassin with a knight to threaten on the side. i badly damaged his scout, and mud, eventually finishing off the two before they could escape, but i lost one of my clerics and my frost because of his assassin. he got a lucky hit on my scout, but it didnt cost me the game. while he was wedging his assassin into my setup, he tried to break the knights into the front left side of my set that had been positioned there for so long, i slowed them down by shrubbing and LW attacking them, but they eventually broke in. this is where things started geting tricky. he began focusing on my scout, so i shrubbed up the area at his side so he couldnt be side attacked. scout was in the top left of my set, with cleric close by. he tried to kill my cleric since my scout wasnt so easily accessible. i started to take shots at his assassin to lower it's blocking, and it worked. i damaged the assassin while he attacked my last cleric. then using the knight's turn wait as a chance to make my move, i shrubbed the knight in, and moved my cleric behind my LW. then he tried to rush in the other knight. i switched the scout's position to where the cleric's previously was allowing me to shoot the assassin in the back and kill it. he kept after my cleric and eventually got it, but i used the furgon to make sure the knight's wouldnt leave the set alive. i managed to kill two of his 3 knights. unfortunately his last one escaped. this whole endeavor let me with the units in the ablove screen shot + my 10 HP mud golem. he went on the defense and i began to move my pieces down towards him. i shrubbed as i went to protect my scout and mud when needed. i planned to try and take his barrier out of the equation to make the game a simple finish. i rushed in the mud after a few turns of shrubbing to damage his cleric, chanty, and BW, as well as break a single opening in my shrubs at the same time for my scout to come in a deal damage. he was desperate enough to freeze the mud as well as his barrier. i shrubbed behind his knight so that he couldnt move the knight back to finish off my mud. but he cut through the shrubs in an attempt to try anyway. this is when i started getting desperate in trying to break his enchantress' focus. i made a bad move with my scout to near where it is now in the screen shot to try and use LOS to break the focus, but i did my LOS wrong. he was getting close to my mud, and i saw that his enchantress would have the opportunity to freeze my scout afterwards, so i moved my furgon back and put shrubs around him. the next turn he killed my mud, and i actually used the furgon's special ability strategically for the first time EVER to block off his enchantress from being able to move towards my scout. he used the LW to break a shrub in front of his chanty, but the furgon ability gave me enough time to get the scout out. he he moved his units to the other side of his LW defensively, but i persisted with my 2 knights while he came at my scout with his lone knight. in the end, he made the mistake of moving his enchantress one space towards my knights so he could be in range for a double freeze, but i took advantage of it's 1 turn wait to hurt it. then he froze, and i brought the other knight closer, he healed, and i broke focus. he barriered chanty, and i hit the barrier again. next turn i would have finished off the enchantress, so he left the arena! the best part about this game is that there were no unfair blocks or hits for either player. that made the game truly fair. that hasnt happened to me in a game for a long time, and i'm glad it happened in this one because it made it awesome boo ya ![]()

it took you that long to beat him. You had way better units. My longest game went for 4 hours. It lasted that long because my opponent had 3 knights and a pyro and i had an archer, furgon, cleric, LW, BW.

he chose to use just a mud; he was 1250+
there are plenty of players out there that choose to use mud as their only drop, and pwn. this just happened to be one of them. you should make a thread for your 4 hour game so i can point out it's flaws too by the way. i finished editing the first post. read it if you dont mind short stories ![]()
