Bottle

As everyone knows, I'm extremely attached to my pikabanner by ED. But I am feeling open to change at the moment. I thought about it for a while, and came up with an interesting idea for an animated banner.

The setting would be SSBM. A short clip of Mario performing a move would been shown, it would freeze and the word "Judgement" appear in flowing, old-style font next to the frozen picture of Mario. Then a short clip of Link performing a move, frozen and "Strategic Insomniacs" appearing next to it in a bold, aggressive font. Finally, a short clip of Samus performing a move then being frozen and "Celestial Knights" next to it in a a jazzy modern font.

Then a clip of pikachu running for a short period of time towards a Mushroom, with the score screen at the bottom showing all combatants on 300% damage (as in sudden death mode). The picture is frozen, and "Bottle" appears next to pikachu (possibly with sparks flying from it, not necessary though) and "netjak.com" above the mushroom. The text then fades and the clip resumes, with pikachu picking up the mushroom and growing to "giant" size. The other three characters all then rush towards the pikachu from all sides, who performs the Thunder move, knocking all three out simultaneously. The scores flash up with "-1" next to each of the other three characters and "+1" above the pikachu score, as usual in SSBM. The clip is frozen once again and the words "Netjak win!" appear in some way (possibly scrolling from left to right, perhaps flashing a few times on the screen). The animation then starts from the beginning again.



Now, I am aware that this is probably an impossible request, or at least an extremely difficult one. But if anyone CAN do it, and gets it right, then I will use it from this day henceforth (and you all know I like to stick to a really good banner). Credit will of course be given to the creator, and exemption from infractions for the next year, plus reps whenever I remember. (OK, maybe not the infractions bit. That would be absuing my mod abilities. )

So there you go... who is up for giving it a go? Bear in mind that you will almost certainly need a copy of SSBM to do the final clip. (Animations of SSBM characters can probably be found on the net but I doubt a custom situation like that will be.)

hmmm... is there a way to get that final part from SSBM?

i have the game, but i have no clue how i'd get it from the game to the computer...

camcorder? heck no!

i think different sig makers should do each part separate, and then have someone combine them together

so, like someone do the mario part and post it on the forums and upload the file for the next person to download to continue

it'd make the workload much easier and manageable, even though the last part would still be difficult

Wow Bottle, this is something you're going to have ask Respect or one of the pink nubs for. Sorry My animation skills are as good as my turt skills ( I have no turt skills whatsoever).

EDIT: I like Amby's proposal. Maybe we should get like a little team of GFX designers and work on this.

Dudes, doing this would require someone to download a GC emulator, with ssbm, then he'd need 3 other guys (well, just one, actually) to be able to move every char at the same time, record it all, then putting it together would be the easy part.
