They point system puts off users who haven't been active and want to make a comeback.

Not always, I've actually been lured by this point system. And if someone really wants to make a comeback you can always ask for a loan in the User CP or start posting some meaningful posts. That's what I did ;)

That said. Can you perhaps put a limit on negative credits? I'd suggest -300 since that is the maximum loan amount to start from "scratch". Also, how many points do you lose daily for not posting/checking forums? I've tried to offset the losses by putting part of my credits in savings but it seems that the rate of loss is greater.

I guess I'll try to beat some more high scores since I do like to make meaningful posts only (>_<)';

Way to bump an old thread, Mr. Meaningful

Anyway, yeah, the longer you go without coming online, the more credits you get taken from you, but it's also a longer amount of time before the system takes the credits, so it seems balanced. And yeah, having the minimum at -300 sounds like a good idea too. That way when someone comes back on it won't take a month or two to get back to positives.

You get negative credits if your not active for a few days. They slowly add up.
