Jon used to act on his personal opinions when he was a mod. Since he left the mod team, we've been told to strictly stick to the forum policy when moderating rather than what we personally think is right.

Alright, seeing as this is talking about fairness and how the staff should treat normal members, lets talk about the thread Omegashin just closed. He in no way gave anyone a chance to defend themselves, and he came to a final conclusion he honestly has no evidence over.
I ask you, where is the honesty there? We have always been told not to jump to conclusion with assumptions by the staff, and now this? If he did it, fine. But show something that at least has some logic. There was about 6+ other members that knew the password. Oh wait, how dumb of me. I can't question actions done by the staff ![]() Pfft, figures after I post this he admits to stuff. Well, let this post be a reminder for future references. There have been many incidences where people have been wrongly accused of something, and staff members have slipped up. Until there is hard evidence and a confession, I think people shouldn't point fingers, just like most do when an account is hacked. Everyone has the power to give a password to another, and say they didn't. Look at the whole Mottle incident, and what is spawned. Now with HIGHLY FEARED and Da'Avalon and other accounts recently. Everyone can screw up, and yeah it is a game, but I think from now on, conclusions shouldn't be jumped to. I say this regarding everything resulting in account situations within the past few months. Everyone is just as at fault for things like these, because unless the password goes beyond the original owner, it is really their fault after that point. People seem to forget this, and as we can see with the HIGHLY FEARED password problem, the ones trusted with the password originally are at fault, not 100%, but in the 90% range for giving it away. So beyond blaming Jonspen and Dape, for a second, review what the "trusted" people are doing with such accounts, and what people are doing with normal accounts. Also, I saw somewhere someone brought up IROKs personal problems in life as something justifying his actions about giving the password out, if I'm not correct? I don't think you can really put his personal problems compared to giving an online password away. I mean, we all have our problems to a certain extent, and they are all painful in different ways, so judging one persons problems against another's is foolish.
What has been done is done, and everyone has admitted on their part. I think my post covered that, in the whole taking responsibility over the actions of others after you slip up yourself. |
