We have been having some database issues and so our host is moving us to a new server. It is actually a better one. There might be 1 hour worth of posts that might be missing. They will be lost during the switch.

This should be taking place between now and 10pm est. tonight.

I hope I never see that 90 + load average again.....Nice choice prophet.

And as of 1 hour of posting being deleted, does that mean that it won't be down, just a loss of posts?

Right, no downtime just the database will be missing an hours worth of posts. He says he may not lose anything but that will be the max.

That's awesome Prophet, this was definately needed. It was getting really cumbersome.

The forums will remain v-bulletin, the server will be changed. you will see no difference except faster foruming and hopefully no downtime.

no, the database is the only thing that is changing, aka the place the data for posts and such is stored
